Split System Course Purpose
The UEE20120 – Certificate II in Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems is a training course for electricians and 3rd and 4th year electrical apprentices looking to up skill and expand their formal qualifications.
As an RTO, at Get Skilled Training we offer recognised, Toowoomba air conditioning courses that comply with current Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) licencing requirements
This Toowoomba air conditioning course satisfies the requirements for applying for a Refrigerant Handling Licence with the Australian Refrigeration Council.
This Toowoomba air conditioning course includes training applicable to wall hung, floor and ceiling suspended, cassette and ducted fan coil systems and water heating heat pump systems.
Please note, that this training does not include competencies required for service, repair, maintenance, diagnostic / fault finding and electrical work, or the safe and proper installation of commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump plant and equipment.
Completing this AC course will put you in a position for continuing on to further studies that allow for additional qualifications. For more information, see the Career Pathways section below.
Toowoomba Aircon Course Prerequisites
To be able to undertake the UEE20120 – Certificate II in Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems course, you must satisfy one of the following prerequisites:
- For Electricians – Current Electrical Work Licence
- For 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentices – Who have Successful completion of the required units of competency outlined in the first year of an electrotechnology apprenticeship, and have at least two years of industry experience.
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is offered to non-electrical workers who wish to undertake this course who have a trade qualification in the following trades:
– Plumbers
– Gas fitters
- Trade Assistants currently working full-time for Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning companies (for a minimum period of 6-18 months) may also be eligible to complete this qualification with recognition of prior learning (RPL).
